Veteran quintet The Baseball Project have made four albums about — you guessed it — the national pastime, turning their formidable musical talents, keen humor and love for the game into high heat. Featuring a roster of Peter Buck and Mike Mills (R.E.M.), Scott McCaughey (The Minus 5/Young Fresh Fellows), Steve Wynn (The Dream Syndicate) and Linda Pitmon (Filthy Friends, Steve Wynn & The Miracle 3), the band in June released their latest, “Grand Salami Time!,” a round-tripper for those who can spot an “Uncle Charlie,” remember “Disco Demolition” or have ever battled “The Yips.” The Baseball Project’s season-long tour brings them to the Teragram Ballroom in the heat of the pennant race, on Wednesday, Sept. 20.
Tickets for the show are $29.50 and available here, but as a follower of Buzz Bands LA, you can win a free pair. To enter, email us at buzzbandsla(at)gmail(dot)com. The winner(s) will receive an email with instructions.
