The Appleseed Cast

A light post-holiday show schedule, but …

► Long-running Kansas post-rock band the Appleseed Cast, celebrating the 15-year re-release of their LP “Mare Vitalis,” headlines the Echo, supported by Adjy and Coaster.
► The fourth annual Riot Grrrl Carnival, benefiting Chicas Rockeras South East Los Angeles, brings Trap Girl, Las Sangronas Y El Cabron and Pardon Me Sir to the Smell.
► And L.A.-birthed experimental noise-rockers Alpine Decline (now based in Beijing) will play their only U.S. show of the year at the Ham & Eggs Tavern downtown. Also playing: Kin Kosmos (Kurt Heasley of Lilys).
