Synth-spiked rockers Figs Vision, electro-pop trio The Black and The White and new rock four-piece the Shelters highlight the lineup for Chinatown Summer Nights on Aug. 22.
The LA Weekly Live Music Stage will also host sultry dream-pop of Smoke Season, the orchestrated indie-rock of Forebear, the exuberant throwback blues of Mad Revival and the psychedelic blues of Spooky Island. The bands, curated by Buzz Bands LA, start at 5 p.m. On the dance stage in the Central Plaza, KCRW DJs Jason Bentley and Garth Trinidad do sets beginning at 8 p.m.
Plus, there is the usual array of activities in Chinatown that night — cultural performances, vendors, children’s activities, food trucks and a craft beer garden. A full rundown of activities can be found here. The event is free and all-ages. RSVP here.
