The Who postpone four dates, including Staples Center show

Roger Daltrey is ailing, so Southern California fans will have to wait to join together with the Who.

The legendary band’s Sept. 16 and Sept. 21 dates (at the Honda Center and Staples Center, respectively) were two of four shows postponed today after doctors ordered Daltrey to take more time off to recover from an unspecified viral illness, according to a statement from the band’s publicists.

The other postponed dates — all part of “The Who Hits 50! Tour” — are Sept. 14 at the Valley View Casino in San Diego and Sept. 19 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The tour is scheduled to resume Sept. 24 in Portland, Ore.
