In a live Q&A with fans Tuesday on Tumblr, Newbury Park sensations the Neighbourhood were asked what inspired the writing of their sophomore album “Wiped Out.” “Being emo,” they replied. Nice to know that hasn’t changed since their 2013 debut “I Love You” stormed out of the gates. But maybe some other things have? At the ripe old age of 24, frontman Jesse Rutherford contemplates The End on the new single “R.I.P. 2 My Youth.” The Hype Williams-directed video for the song finds Rutherford ostensibly trapped in a well and curled up in a coffin (enjoying a smoke, ironically). “Wiped Out” is out Oct. 30, near the end of a two-month tour capped by an L.A. date at the Shrine.

Loved the first album these guys put out a couple years ago, and I ‘m way excited to see that they’ve got some more stuff comin’. “RIP 2 My Youth” is an awesome track and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the album sounds like on 10/30
