Video: Mini Mansions, ‘Double Visions’

Mini Mansions’ video for “Double Visions” almost begs that viewers record themselves watching it and disseminate those clips via social media. Because nothing really happens nowadays until there is some digital documentation to validate it, right? The L.A. trio’s coy statement was directed and produced by Haoyan Zhang, and the song is from their March debut album “The Great Pretenders,” a psych-pop gem that put Michael Shuman, Tyler Parkford and Zach Dawes ahead of the pack. It’s best enjoyed in high resolution with an expensive set of headphones; the video, however, is fine on any mobile device. Mini Mansions, by the way, will open for Tame Impala in November on a tour of Australia, a perfect fit if ever there was one.
