Jesse Hughes copped to being nervous before the Eagles of Death Metal show Monday night at the Teragram Ballroom. Yeah, right. Hughes, drummer Josh Homme and gang thundered their way through a long set of music from the new album “Zipper Down” and their catalog dating back to 2004. Hughes was in typically good humor, joking with Homme and the crowd and remarking that sweating as much as the time he and Home got pulled over the cops in London. He also dedicated one song of a pregnant fan’s unborn child. Hughes and bearded wonder Dave Catching dueled on 2004’s “Speaking in Tongues.” And in the encore, EODM covered “Takin’ Care of Business” with the crowd happily singing along. Sinner Sinners opened the night with an impressive turn.
Eagles of Death Metal return to the Teragram for another show on Friday night, supported by Gram Rabbit.
