► Blues rocker Gary Clark Jr. does the first of three nights at the Fonda Theatre behind his new album “The Story of Sonny by Slim.” Lawrence Taylor opens.
► X kicks off a run of four shows — the legendary quartet’s annual “A Family X-Mas” tour — at the Roxy Theatre, with Mike Watt & the Secondmen supporting.
► Fifteen years since their breakthrough album “Bohemian Like You,” The Dandy Warhols start a run of three straight nights at the Teragram Ballroom. Joel Gion and Miranda Lee Richards support.
► Miya Folick [see review] celebrates the release of her “Strange Darling” EP with a show at the Bootleg Theater. Get there early for Lena Fayre and Alyeska.
► Jonathan Richman holds forth at the Center for Arts Eagle Rock.
► And San Diego rockers Little Hurricane headline the Troubadour on a night that also features Sonny Boy Thorn and Hamish Anderson.
