North Carolina native and Los Angeles resident Darwin Vanko started D.veloped nearly a decade ago, which has spawned the gamut of musical output by including everything from singles and remixes to mashups and mixtapes, some of which are up on his Soundcloud page and YouTube channel. These days, Vanko is more focused on song writing and producing original material. His newest track is “Bounce Back,” a playful banger that pulls you in with its infectious percussion and throbbing synth, and him rapping an uplifting tale in a hushed tone that would rival Timbaland or Brooklyn’s Ka. The accompanying music video unfolds around downtown, the LA River, the subway, and the Echo Park Lake, as Vanko has a fun walk about to drop knowledge in reverse-yet-forward fashion a la the seminal video to The Pharcyde’s “Drop.” Check it out below. He has an EP on the way in the new year.
