All that glitters is not gold. Bassist Nikki Monninger tries to dance and fantasize the pain away in Silversun Pickups’ new video for “Circadian Rhythm (Last Dance),” one of the dreamier entries on the L.A. quartet’s 2015 album “Better Nature.” Not that any of the band are given to face paint or similar dressings — here’s it’s symbolic of the reverie in the song, the lyrics for which were written by Monninger. “It’s really an homage to a friend of hers that passed away recently,” frontman Brian Aubert explains. “I think it’s the first time Nikki wrote most of the lyrics [to an SSPU song]. We knew we were going to do this duet together, and I really knew she had something going on that needed to come out. I’m happy this was the vessel for it.”
