Eerie Wanda

Eerie Wanda, the Dutch indie-pop quartet anchored by the talents of singer-songwriter Marina Tadic, isn’t reinventing the wheel on their debut album “Hum,” just letting it spin gracefully. The band, which includes guitarist Bram Vervaet, bassist Jasper Verhulst and drummer Nic Niggebrugge (the latter two also play with Jacco Gardner), makes shimmering, slightly echoing chansons we imagine might work best in the shade on a steamy summer afternoon. Tadic’s plaintive vocals star here, wistful but not whiny, and not nearly as dark as you’d think considering the album was recorded in a Cold War-era bunker in Amsterdam. “Hum” came out in February via Beyond Beyond Is Beyond Records.
