Los Angeles concerts, with no April Fool’s nonsense:
► First Fridays at the Natural History Museum returns with Virginians Car Seat Headrest along with Night Beats and science, lots of science. Hey, the discussion for the night is titled “In Space, No One Can Hear You Emote.”
► Athens, Ga., quartet Mothers, whose debut “When You Walk A Long Distance You Are Tired” came out in February, head up a big show at the Echo. Supporting: Sego, Dante Elephante and Cool Ghouls.
► White Denim is back for a second night at the Teragram Ballroom.
► Hinds headline the Echoplex, with Cotillon and Adult Books opening.
► Australia’s Bag Raiders play a sold-out show at the El Rey Theatre, supported by Plastic Plates.
► And heavy-hitting psych trio EFG and Magic Wands play the most rock show of the night, at Non Pus Ultra. There’s a “special guest” too, but we’re in the dark.
