Think Wye Oak was happy to be paying Los Angeles on Saturday night? Trying catching Jenn Wasner during the rare moment at the Teragram Ballroom when she wasn’t smiling. The Baltimore duo — Wasner and Andy Stack — were touring behind their new album “Tween” (released last month digitally, with a physical release due in August). The album is comprised of songs that were written for, but ultimately did not make, their albums “Civilian” (2011) and “Shriek” (2014). Their set induced the audience to return the endearment shown by Wasner, who enthused about how much she loved L.A. and joked that people should buy more Wye Oak albums so they could afford to live here.

Tuskha, the new project from Phil Moore of Bowerbirds, opened.
