L.A.’s Goon, the grunge-y noiseniks headed by Kenny Becker (who tells all here), celebrated the release of their debut EP on Wednesday night at the Bootleg Theater. It’s titled “Dusk of Punk,” six songs of lo-fi, heavy psych-rock tasty right down to their gooey melodies, and besides playing their earplugs-required music the DIYers were was also dispensing their “Mystery Box Edition” cassettes — homemade items that come in two colors, containing hidden songs and a card with hidden messages.

Young Jesus and Post Life opened the show.
