The Skirball Cultural Center will be poppin’ on Friday night — visually and musically.

L.A.’s current crown prince of camp, Seth Bogart, will headline an installment of the Skirball’s “Into the Night” series that coincides with the opening of the new exhibition “Pop for the People: Roy Lichtenstein in L.A.”

At more than 70 works, the Lichtenstein retrospective will be the largest display of his work in L.A. in more than a decade.

Bogart’s subversive, often outlandish multimedia shows seem the perfect pairing for opening night. The former Hunx and His Punx/Gravy Train!!!! main man performs “The Seth Bogart Show” in his characteristic pencil mustache, gelled hair and an array of costumes, backed by papier-mâché props and a video backdrop produced by Telefantasy Studios.

L.A.-based Australian pop singer Chela will support.

Tickets are $15 ($20 day of show); parking is free.
