► Miike Snow plays the Shrine Expo Hall. With Charles Bradley having canceled his tour dates because of health reasons, Zella Day has stepped in and will open the show.

► Chicago experimental rockers Califone, celebrating the 15-year anniversary of their album “Roomsound” (just reissued by Dead Oceans), visit the Highland Park Ebell Club, with Slow Moses supporting.
► Pigeon John celebrates the release of his new album “Good Sinner” (his seventh) at the Hotel Café, where Backbone’s Sunset Cipher also performs.
