Stream: Winter, ‘Dreaming’

For Samira Winter, everything is and continues to be about reverie. Her first EP as Winter, conceived in Boston before the Brazilian singer-songwriter moved to L.A., was titled “Daydreaming.” Winter’s dreamy 2015 full-length, a collection of cherubic popgazing so buoyant it gives gravity a bad name, was titled “Supreme Blue Dream.” And Winter’s new single is titled “Dreaming,” a tune that was 1) originally penned in 2013, 2) thought to be lost when the band’s laptop was stolen on tour, 3) unexpectedly recovered on a back-up hard drive, and 4) did not appear on “Supreme Blue Dream.” It’s lush and … dreamy. And sounds like it could have been lifted from the Sarah Records catalog. Winter is currently working on a new album “Ethereality.” Like somebody once said, dream until your dreams come true.
