Dana and the Wolf

Dana and the Wolf melds the talents of singer Dana Hobson and multi-instrumentalist/producer Daniel Wolf, who have been a couple for 10 years (unmarried, no children), have a background in film and acting and, in the name of love and music, have “set out to explore the boundaries in their relationship (sometimes getting themselves into trouble),” they say. As recently as this summer, Hobson and Wolf were at the core of the band the Danes, who between late 2012 and this spring released two EPs and a handful of singles. “Close Enough,” their maiden voyage as a duo, is a pulsating pop number pitting Hobson’s vivid vocals against squawking synths and plaintive piano, telling a story of “a love stuck in neutral.” “It’s a funny thing that you and me were even close enough / And don’t you call that love,” Hobson declares convincingly. Indeed, you know what say about “close.”
