‣ There some pretty amateurish choreography in the gleeful video for Mayer Hawthorne’s “Your Easy Lovin’ Ain’t Pleasin’ Nothin’,” but there’s nothing amateur about the way the soul singer rocks a show. He plays the Music Box tonight.
‣ Stars bring their heart-on-sleeve indie-pop to the Wiltern tonight.
‣ The Pains of Being Pure at Heart bring their heart-on-sleeve indie-pop to the Echoplex tonight.
‣ Stars and the Pains of Being Pure at Heart bring their heart-on-sleeve indie-pop to the Glass House in Pomona on Sunday night. (Now that’s more like it.)
‣ Junip, the trio featuring Swedish singer-songwriter Jose Gonzalez, plays the Music Box on Sunday, supported by Sharon Von Etten.
