Sheryl Crow’s new and is titled “Be Myself,” and, sure enough, she was on Thursday night at the Greek Theatre, endearing herself to a big crowd with old songs and new. She warmed the crowd up by opening with a string of her ’90s hits — “Everyday Is a Winding Road,” “A Change Would Do You Good,” “All I Wanna Do” and “My Favorite Mistake” — before moving into the new material.
She strung together three songs from her newly minted 10th album, starting with the title track and then “Long Way Back” and “Alone in the Dark.” Crow ended up performing six songs from the new album, along with a cover of Cat Stevens’ “The First Cut Is the Deepest.” During the encore and joined by opener Lukas Nelson, Crow saluted the late Gregg Allman by covering the Allman Brothers’ “Midnight Rider,” before ending the show by going back to “Tuesday Night Music Club” for “I Shall Believe”
