In an interview last week, electro-pop trailblazer Gary Numan allowed as how his long career has let him become more uninhibited. Indeed, as he danced and gestured around the stage Saturday night at the Teragram Ballroom, one longtime fan who has witnessed three decades of Numan shows was compelled to exclaim, “He has new moves!”

Numan had new songs, too. Playing to a second sold-out Teragram crowd this week, he performed songs from his new album “Savage (Songs from a Broken World),” as well as 2013’s “Splinter (Songs from a Broken Mind),” along with favorites from deep in his catalog dating back to 1979 (“Cars” and “Are Friends Electric?”). The show had a minor interruption after “Here In The Black,” as Teragram security tended to an ailing fan, but later hit a high point when Numan’s daughter Persia joined the band for a beautiful rendition of “My Name Is Ruin.”

L.A. shoegazers Nightmare Air opened the night with a strobe-filled set that included the new singles “Who’s Your Lover” and “Sign of the Times,” and an unreleased one, “Fade.” New York’s Me Not You followed with songs from their recent EP “Reckoning 1” and more.
