Ears Wide Open: Brian Green

You want a love song for someone special? Brian Green has a love song for you. “No Ordinary Style,” the title track of his solo debut EP (due Feb. 9), is a buttery ode to someone extraordinary, melting leisurely in the warm space between 1970s soft rock and modern dream-pop.
The L.A.-based, USC-schooled Green has toured, written, produced and recorded for artists such as John Legend, Michael BublĂ©, Pomplamoose and Katherine Mcphee. He also fronts the indie band MontĂ« Mar, who (sadly) have been silent since releasing their “Different Place” EP in late 2011 but (happily) will finally release their long-completed full-length “Expectations” this spring.
For now, imagine everything in soft focus and dim the lights. And don’t forget flowers.
