The initial installment of Buzz Bands LA’s SecondTuesday series at Lot 1 Cafe was all about the warm vibe. In the intimate Echo Park room, Omaha expatriate Jake Bellows (top photo) debuted new solo material, teamed up with Morgan Nagler of Whispertown 2000 for a few songs and performed music from the catalog of his band Neva Dinova. L.A.’s Daniel Ahearn, profiled here last week, brought a full band to engage the crowd with songs from his new album “Long Way Home.” And Judson McKinney of Judson & Mary – performing solo because his wife was ill – charmed with his acoustic vignettes. Thanks to the artists and everyone who attended. Watch for an announcement of the March 8 lineup.
