With a wink and warm, sincere embrace, L.A.’s Milo Greene are moving into “Adult Contemporary.”

The band — now helmed by principal singers and songwriters Marlana Sheetz, Graham Fink and Robbie Arnett — have titled their third album just that. The sound seems a natural evolution for a group that has released a folk album (its self-titled debut in 2012) and an indie-pop album (2015’s “Control”). After last year’s “Never Ender” EP, the band got to work in Nashville with Grammy-nominated producer Bill Reynolds (Band of Horses, Lissie). Last month, Milo Greene released the song “Be Good to Me,” the first song from those sessions, and followed up today with the first proper single, “Move.”

With the heartbeat of a ’70s bass line, “Move” is typically lush and melodic, with Sheetz taking the lead. It’s for doing after-hours pirouettes on a deserted dance floor. Keep the disco ball spinning, please, but slowly.
