“Bubblin” finds Anderson .Paak relishing some of the good life, as he commands, “Imma need all the fries you can gimme … All the hot sauce, all the pie you can gimme,” which he might potentially eat with your mom on a hotel bed (“Imma take your mama to the Marriott and wear it out”). In the Calmatic-directed video, we watch cash shoot out at .Paak from an ATM, signifying his come-up in the last few years, followed by purchasing new threads, diving into a pool of money, swinging from a chandelier and growing a few extra sets of arms. This is more playful content than the heavier business from 2016’s “Malibu,” which included songs about his upbringing, his mother’s gambling and father’s prison time, and his desire for more out of life. Even with all the good the pride of Oxnard has found, the “Bubblin” visual suggests being wary of greed, as the video ends with the ATM crushing .Paak in a parking lot.

“Bubblin,” produced by Jahlil Beats and Antman Wonder, is “the first of more to come” according to a brief announcement. Dr. Dre will be releasing and helping shape his next album on Aftermath Records, and with “65,000 songs in the vault,” as Paak told Beat 1’s Zane Lowe, there’s a lot to choose from.
