Chinatown Summer Nights, June 30: Gothic Tropic, Blacktop Queen, Holy Wars and more

The lineup has been announced for the Live Music Stage at the first Chinatown Summer Nights of 2018, June 30 at Mandarin Plaza, 970 N. Broadway in downtown L.A.
It features the New Wave and R&B-tinted pop quartet Gothic Tropic, the four-piece fronted by Cecilia Della Peruti, along with alternative rockers Blacktop Queen and Holy Wars. Also performing at the free, all-ages night: L.A.-based Tasmanian rockers Enola Fall, East L.A. garage-rockers the Tracks, rock ’n’ soul ensemble Hawk Percival and Friends and experimental electronic duo Soft Streak.
The music starts at 5 p.m. on the Live Music Stage, located opposite the event’s craft beer garden and adjacent to the vendor village. The lineup is curated by Buzz Bands LA.
The KCRW DJ Stage in Chinatown’s Central Plaza will feature sets by KCRW DJs Liz Richardson (8 p.m.) and Garth Trinidad (10 p.m.).
The popular, three-month Chinatown Summer Nights, which continues July 28 and Aug. 25, also boasts restaurants, culinary demonstrations, an eating competition, arts & crafts and all the sights usually associated with the district’s experience.
