[April has come quickly, soliciting our ears and filling our concert calendars. On the occasion of a new week and Miranda Lee Richards’ birthday, here’s what’s up:]

The best of Monday’s madness:

‣ Big evening at It’s a School Night at Bardot, where Crowded House frontman Neil Finn (who headlines the El Rey on Tuesday) previews material from his forthcoming “Pajama Party” CD and L.A. songwriter Jim Bianco celebrates the release of his third album “Loudmouth” (out Tuesday).
Walking Sleep [see Friday’s post] starts its residency at the Satellite, with the Californian and Count Fleet opening,
‣ Great lineup at the kickoff of the Rumspringa residency at the Bootleg Theater, where White Arrows, Gamble House and Gardens & Villa set the table.
Wake Up Lucid [see February post] has the residency at the Silverlake Lounge, where Wires in Walls, the Ross Sea Party and Scotland’s Bronto Skylift help get things started.
Amanda Jo Williams [pictured] starts her run of Mondays at the Echo, supported by Simon Stokes and John Carpenter.
‣ And the free L.A. Unheard series convenes at the Echoplex, with So Many Wizards and Puro Instinct playing.
