Macy’s Plaza downtown on 7th and Flower Streets is now the Bloc, with the outdoors now brought indoors with the central roof removed. The central open air space now has grass, lighting and a stage for events, and tonight begins their Concerts on the Bloc series, where attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and food. A wine and beer bar as well as food options will also be on site for the 21 and over events.

Happening every third Thursday throughout the summer months, the Bloc and Kensington Presents have booked local musicians Hamish Anderson, Jasper Bones, Balto, the Brevet, Raelee Nicole and India Carney for the stage.

KCRW DJ Novena Carmel kicks off each evening at 6 p.m.

Validated parking ($5 self-parking and $10 valet) as well as the 7th Street Metro are available onsite at 750 West 7th Street. Tickets for the shows are free ($5 plus fees with blanket).
