Bleached, the L.A. band anchored by sisters Jennifer Clavin and Jessica Clavin, celebrated the release of their new album “Don’t You Think You’ve Had Enough” but playing it in its entirety on a sweaty night Thursday at the sold-out Moroccan Lounge.
The Clavins, playing to a wall-to-wall crowd, started their set with the single “Shitty Ballet” as a two-piece before being joined onstage by their bassist and drummer midway into the song. After racing through the new album, they came back to the adoring crowd with an encore of “Dead In Your Head,” off their 2013 record “Ride Your Heart.”
Bethany Cosentino from Best Coast kicked off the evening, spinning tunes from the DJ booth, before the Linda Lindas — an all-female quartet whose members are 14, 12, 11 and 8 years old — took over. No strangers to playing support gigs at sold-out shows (they opened one of Bikini Kill’s shows at the Palladium in April), they blasted their way through an energetic set filled with tributes to Lois, Best Coast, X-Ray Spex, the Misfits, Ramones, Runaways and Le Tigre, ending with “Rebel Girl” by Bikini Kill. Bobb Bruno of Best Coast even provided a little tech support for the young quartet.
Bleached setlist: Shitty Ballet, Sleepwalking, Kiss You Goodbye, Somebody Dial 911, Heartbeat Away, Electric Chair, Think of You, Hard to Kill, Valley to LA, Wednesday Night, Daydream, Rebound City. Encore: Dead in Your Head
