Tonight’s touts:

‣ We’ll just mention the three shows from the Legends Dept. tonight all at once –  Prince plays the Forum; Paul Simon performs the Pantages Theatre; and Emmylou Harris holds forth at the El Rey Theatre.
‣ Phildelphia’s Kurt Vile and the Violators play the Echo behind their very good new album “Smoke Ring for Halo.” That’s the video for “Jesus Fever,” above; you can get that song here.
‣ Linda Perry’s new Deep Dark Robot rocks the Roxy.
‣ Tom Brosseau & John C. Reilly, the Chapin Sisters, Jenny O and I See Hawks in LA are among the performers at the Louvin Brothers Tribute Show at Historical Monument 157 (3110 N. Broadway). It’s a benefit show for releif efforts in Japan.
‣ And Cody the Band celebrates the release of a new EP with a Silverlake Lounge featuring Downtown/Union and Judson.
