“Pop natural” Grace VanderWaal took the stage on Thursday night at a buzzing El Rey Theatre. At all of 15 years old, VanderWaal has now completed two tours as direct support for the likes of Imagine Dragons and, most recently, Florence + The Machine. Now midway through the “Ur So Beautiful Tour,” named for her 2019 single and her second tour as a headliner, she dazzled with a mature songwriting style that belies her years. She performed songs from her 2017 debut album “Just the Beginning,” as well as her new single “Waste My Time.”
