The high-flyin’, time-travelin’ D’Addario brothers are back, riffing their way into your hearts as the Lemon Twigs.

The band announced this week that their third album, “Songs for the General Public,” will be out May 1 via 4AD. The album was recorded and produced at their Long Island home studio, Sonora Studios in L.A. and Electric Lady in NYC, and the first single “The One,” finds the duo squeezing more juice out of the plentiful fruit that is the ’60s sound.

The brothers, Brian and Michael, busted out as teenage sensations in 2016 with their debut album “Do Hollywood” and an over-the-top stage style that made them impossible to ignore. They’re now in their early 20s, but not less audacious. Their new single “The One” comes with a video directed by Michael Hill that sees the duo mounting a campaign for the song. If only their tour van had met a better fate.
