Love Dealer is the name of the solo project of Brazilian singer-songwriter Gabriel da Rosa, who moved to the U.S. in 2014 with his compatriots in Name the Band.

The son of a radio DJ, da Rosa has played in punk, indie-rock and hardcore bands, but Love Dealer’s “How?” settles comfortably into the lush, languid soundscapes you might hear from Band of Horses or Real Estate.

Co-produced by Sam Plecker (Vista Kicks) and mastered by Clay Blair, the song — which features Dan Crean (ex-Semi Precious Weapons) on drums — is the first from Love Dealer’s forthcoming album, which will contain songs in both English and Portuguese.
