■ Ginger Root frontman Cameron Lew– who last year released the project’s second album, (“Rikki”), a covers EP (“Toaster Music v3”), full band live album and a plethora of videos during quarantine– made an appearance on French online indie music series La Blogotheque this past week. The purveyor of “Aggressive Elevator Soul” also released a cover of “Tank!,” the funky, bluesy opening theme song for cult classic Japanese anime series Cowboy Bebop, with partial proceeds going towards Stop AAPI Hate.
