■ Japanese Breakfast rocked the lead track, “Paprika,” off her new album, “Jubilee,” on Jimmy Kimmel Live last night, accompanied by full orchestral reinforcements to her band (Peter Bradley, Craig Hendrix, Deven Craige, Molly Germer and Gabby Smith) and dazzling in a white haute couture dress.  

Earlier in the day, the singer-songwriter, composer, director and best-selling author, née Michelle Zauner, also made a virtual stop at KEXP to talk with DJ Cheryl Waters about the album, with outtakes of full-band performances of five other songs (“Kokomo, IN,” “Tactics,” “Be Sweet,” “Savage Good Boy” and “Ballad 0,” off her side project Bumper) recorded earlier at Baby’s Alright in Brooklyn, NY.

“Jubilee” was released last month via Dead Oceans.
