Go ahead — dance, think, tell stories, provoke. Ceci Bastida has all those things going on, and more.

The Tijuana-bred, L.A.-based singer-songwriter today released the new single “Dale,” a footloose number underpinned by Caribbean rhythms. Bastida is working on a new album — no specific news about that yet — but she took the occasion to introduce the new podcast she hosts, “Punk in Translation: Latinx Origins.”

Not only does Bastida engage a host of notable guests (Joan Jett, Dead Kennedys’ Jello Biafra, Alice Bag, Clem Burke, Downtown Boys’ Victoria Ruiz, for instance), but the eight-episode series is Audible’s first production to be simultaneously published in both English and Spanish. Bastida got with the punk band Tijuana No! at age 15,
