MUNA, “Home By Now”

L.A. trio MUNA return to their dance-pop dynamos persona on “Home by Now,” the fourth single from the self-titled album they will release June 24 via Saddest Factory Records. It’s the follow-up to “Kind of Girl,” “Anything But Me” and the irresistible “Silk Chiffon.” “‘Home By Now’ is the song on the record that we feel might be closest to our first album in that it’s a dance song with brutal lyrics and an emo bridge,” Katie Gavin says. “It’s a breakup song that’s a bit more full of longing and doubt than Anything But Me. While a lot of this album does seem to be about trusting my instincts, this song acknowledges the pain of not knowing if I left a relationship that I was meant to be in.” MUNA performs Sunday, June 5, as part of the three-day Outloud Raising Voices Music Festival in West Hollywood. They also play Oct. 25 (sold out) and Oct. 26 (tickets) at the Wiltern.

JOEY DOSIK, “Make a Wish”

Singer-songwriter and Vulfpeck touring member Joey Dosik checks in with his latest dollop of blue-eyed soul, “Make a Wish.” It’s just his fourth single since the 2018 release of his album “Inside Voice” … maybe the Lakers’ downturn has this superfan bummed? Nah, he’s probably just busy. Dosik performs Saturday at the Troubadour.

CHELSEA ROSE, “Fallin'”

The follow-up to “Down the Street” and “Let Go,” Chelsea Rose’s “Fallin’” is the third single from her album “Truth or Consequences,” out June 3. And it’s different. “I never intended to write a spoken-word song, but this one just came out that way, so I went with it,” she says. “Fallin’” tells the story of falling in love while out on the road; it tells the story of closeness, distance, longing, and an eventual ending of falling back into loneliness. Sometimes when I’m crushed and really going through heartbreak, writing is the only way to process and heal.”
