The eclectic expanse known as Zorthian Ranch truly became a haven for the folk on Saturday as four stages were set up just north of Pasadena for a day of music, food, and beautiful scenery. Nature’s backdrop wonderfully suited the 2nd New L.A. Folk Festival, where artists such as Olentangy John, Jenny Luna, Ferraby Lionheart, Amanda Jo Williams, Frank Fairfield and more brought out their acoustic guitars, banjos and upright basses to play Americana, folk and rock songs that floated throughout the dirt roads and deep terraces. Despite the hot weather, cool tunes seemed to guide the day into a perfectly breezy night. The pool and ice cream trucks may have also helped.
This was so fun! Olentangy John was great.
