Tonight’s things:

‣ I love lyric videos, because, well, you know, I might miss a magical turn of a phrase or something. So in honor of her sold-out show at the Troubadour tonight, there’s the clip for Christina Perri’s “Arms,” which, along with other hits “So You Think You Can Dance” made famous, appears on her album “Lovestrong,” which came out in May. HoneyHoney and Sarah Ault support, and they’re well worth early arrival.
‣ Wedding singer Ellie Goulding – we kid, of course; it was the royal wedding – headlines the Wiltern.
‣ Excellent local show, No. 1: Family of the Year, their new “St. Croix” EP ready for a Sept. 27 release, heads up a big lineup at the Roxy that includes Seasons, Golden State, Heartstop and Miracle Parade.
‣ Excellent local show, No. 2: LA Font, the Dead Ships and Terraplane Sun rock the Echo.
‣ Excellent local show, No. 3: Incan Abraham, Tennis System and Flora and Fauna perform at the Bootleg Theater.
‣ And with Art Walk going on downtown, there’s free music at Pershing Square featuring Noah and the MegaFauna and Marcus Very Ordinary.
