Echo Park Rising planning one-day festival on Sept. 9

Echo Park Rising is rising again.
The free neighborhood music and arts festival (and celebration of local businesses) is announcing plans to stage a one-day event, Sept. 9. It will be the 11th Echo Park Rising, and the first in-person event since 2019. In the throes of the pandemic in 2020, EPR pulled off an eight-hour online event, still viewable here.
This year’s scaled-back version figures to be centered around the Echo and Echoplex, with the usual pop-up shows going off a multiple businesses nearby. Currently, there are no plans for either an outdoor stage or a stage at Taix.
In addition to financial support from the Echo Park Chamber of Commerce, grants and local businesses, Echo Park Rising has launched a Patreon to help with production and logistic costs. Donate here.
Submissions are open for bands, artists, comedians using this form.
