Ears Wide Open: Miracle Days

Edson Choi and Dre Babinksi were bandmates in the defunct Dusty Rhodes & the River Band, but both have moved on to new adventures. Choi has gone on to play a key part in Warships, and Babinski has taken her talents as a violinist on tour with Jarrod Gorbel and the Elected, as well as doing studio work as a string player. Now Choi and Babinski have teamed up as Miracle Days to make an album of sweetly buoyant boy/girl indie-pop. “Something for the Weight,” recorded in September at Dr. Dog’s studio in Philadelphia, is due out early this year. If Miracle Days’ song “Miracle Days” doesn’t brighten your day, I suggest therapy.

Saw these guys play some songs in Chinatown a couple of weeks ago and they were AMAZING. Pretty much the raddest duo ever.
