It’s lunch time. Are you hungry yet? These guys are. Either the Wave Pictures just really enjoy scarfing down spaghetti, or an eating contest is their way of celebrating the release of their 12th studio album. Whatever “Spaghetti” may mean to them, it’s about time the Wymeswold, England-based rock trio play some shows on this side of the ocean – and their latest record “Long Black Cars” (out now on Moshi Moshi) has earned them the long-awaited opportunity. Chock-full of their wittiest pop songs yet, the Wave Pictures show no signs of slowing down despite their 14 years together. Although it might be safer for them to eat at a slower pace.
