Ears Wide Open: IAMEVE

IAMEVE is not a newbie, but the new incarnation of Tiff Randol, the New York-bred, L.A.-based singer-songwriter whose pop confections historically have come with the piquant aftertaste of perspicacity. Adopting a new personality as Eve Ami, Randol is a quarter of the way through releasing a new album, “The Everything Nothing” – she’s doing so by unveiling one song per month on Bandcamp (where you can find this month’s “Self-Sabotage” and April’s first single “Throw Me a Line,” available on a name-your-price basis). Her concept album promises to follow her protagonist’s arc from “self-destruction to self-love.” Ostensibly, her sweet melodies and quirky arrangements won’t make it sound all that serious.
