I have not heard the entirety of Maria Taylor’s new album “LadyLuck,” but this video is so disarmingly charming I might smile all the way to iTunes. The taller half of Azure Ray mends broken hearts on “Cartoons and Forever Plans;” the song features a guest turn by Michael Stipe. Taylor will perform at the Troubadour on May 3.

M. Ward’s take on Buddy Holly’s “Rave On” (featuring Zooey Deschanel) has gotten some well-deserved plaudits, and now the song gets a fun treatment in this video directed by Mike Please. With his new album “Hold Time” just out in February, M. Ward performs Friday at Coachella.
