Tonight in L.A.: Glen Hansard, Jenny Lewis, Rodriguez, Judson, the Broken Numbers Band Kevin Bronson on June 20th, 2012 Share this:Tweet Click to email a link to a friend (Opens in new window) Email 0 ‣ On Tuesday, Irish singer-songwriter Glen Hansard – he of the Frames, Swell Season and the film “Once” – released his first solo album, “Rhythm and Repose.” Tonight the 42-year-old Academy Award-winner will be joined by Kelly Hogan (whose own new album “I Like to Keep Myself in Pain” came out earlier this month) for a concert at the Wiltern. Above is Czech director Hedi Rose’s video for the Hansard song “Love Don’t Leave Me Waiting.” ‣ Jenny Lewis does the first of two nights at Largo as part of her “I Heart Cali” tour – dates that were rescheduled from last fall. ‣ Rodriguez, the Mexican-American folk singer whose remarkable story is told in the documentary film “Searching for Sugar Man,” plays an early show at the Hotel Cafe. Later in the evening, it’s Federico Aubele and Matthew Mayfield. ‣ And fresh from their stellar sets at Saturday’s Make Music Pasadena, Judson, Torches and Tenlons Fort team up for a big local show at the Troubadour.
