What a Wednesday:
‣ The Walkmen visit the Ford Amphitheatre behind their new album “Heaven,” the band’s sixth full-length. L.A. quintet Milo Greene opens. That’s the Walkmen’s video for “Heartbreaker,” above.
‣ On the other side of the 101, the Dave Matthews Band holds forth at the Hollywood Bowl. DMB’s first album in three years, “Away From the World,” is out this week.
‣ My Morning Jacket returns for the second of three nights at the Wiltern.
‣ Blondie and Devo team up for a night at the Greek Theatre, part of the iconic bands’ “Whip It to Shreds” tour. We love the quote from Mark Mothersbaugh in the press release: “”We are looking forward to performing alongside Blondie and swapping costumes backstage.”
‣ And long-running San Diego indie-rockers Pinback visit Saint Rocke in Hermosa Beach.
