Videos: Hundred Waters, ‘Thistle,’ ‘Hydrodictyon’

They are signed to Skrillex’s year-old OWSLA label, and they even toured with the Grammy-winning dubstep king. But to hear Florida quintet Hundred Waters, you’d never think the two artists would belong in the same universe, let alone the same venue. The fivesome’s experimental folk music, with its precise mix of organic and electronic instrumentation clattering beneath Nicole Miglis’ soaring vocals, suggests something in the CoCo Rosie-meets-Tune-Yards-meets-Julia Holter world. It’s music that’s easy to get lost in; these videos are cool, but your mind’s eyes might do just as well.
