Shows for a wild Wednesday:

A benefit show for leukemia-stricken 3-year-old Mayla Embry and her family goes off at the Bootleg Bar, featuring the music of Father John Misty, Daniel Lanois, Inara George, Becky Stark and Great Northern. A small quantity of tickets will be available at the door.
Slash, along with Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, teams up with Foxy Shazam for a big night of rock at the Wiltern. Above is the video for “You’re a Lie,” off Slash’s May release “Apocalyptic Love.”
Nick Lowe brings the brilliant songs from his latest release “The Old Magic” to the Troubadour for a solo show. Standout local songstress Eleni Mandell, who just released her album “I Can See the Future,” opens.
Conor Oberst and Jenny Lewis team up for a big night at the Fox Theater Pomona.
‣ And Kate Earl previews material from her forthcoming release on Downtown Records, “Stronger,” in a show at the Hotel Cafe on a night that also features the Young Romans, Neon Hymns and Tomten.
