Monday, and it’s already a ridiculous night for shows: That familiar face you can spot playing the early set tonight at Gangi’s residency at Spaceland is actor/director Adam Goldberg, who will be fronting his musical project LANDy. Goldberg has written songs for years and has been an occasional collaborator in the L.A. band the Black Pine, and those songs, which display a winsome, dreamy sensibility, will be released June 23 as “Eros and Omissions.” [Download: “BFF.”] The album was recorded with the help of the Flaming Lips’ Steven Drozd and Earlimart’s Aaron Espinoza. … Big doings at the Golden Animals’ residency at the Silverlake Lounge too – U.K. shoegazers Amusement Parks on Fire, as well ax Xu Xu Fang, will be bringing the noise. … Sweet-sounding Juliette Commagere will have quite a crowd at Week 3 of her residency at the Echo too, with her brother Robert Francis, Ceci Bastida and Rademacher joining her. … Highly recommend starting your evening at Amoeba, where Oklahoma ensemble Other Lives will be doing an in-store at 7. … My favorite mood-elevator the past month has been the debut album by Telekinesis – the drummer-fronted band will be opening for Margot and the Nuclear So and So’s at the Troubadour. … At the Viper Room, it’s Rami Dearest, along with the Ruby Friedman Orchestra and others. … Also: Busdriver at the Knitting Factory; Halloween Swim Team at the Smell; and Jackie Tohn at the Hotel Cafe.
