Tijuana Panthers, the Long Beach trio whose exhilarating blend of surf-garage-punk has inspired mosh pits all over SoCal, will be joining the growing roster of artists on the L.A.-based imprint Innovative Leisure Records. No word on the band’s release plans yet, but they have an album completed and since releasing their album “Max Baker” in 2010  have grown into a formidable live act. They join an eclectic Innovative Leisure crew that includes Hanni El Khatib, Nosaj Thing, Allah-Las, Nick Waterhouse and Feeding People, among others.

‣ Psychic Friend – the pop adventures of Imperial Teen’s Will Schwartz, along with Bo Boddie, Patty Schemel and Tripp Beam – have signed to Dangerbird Records and will release their debut “My Rocks Are My Dreams” on Feb. 12. You can revisit their catchy single “Once a Servant” here.

‣ Dan Chang and Michael Garner – who were two-thirds of pop trio Lady Danville – will continue to collaborate under the name Hunter Hunted. Percussionist Matt Frankel departed Lady Danville in October. Chang and Garner say they are in the market for bandmates for their new project.

‣ And Monsters Calling Home, the San Fernando Valley-bred folk ensemble who went from zero to playing on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” in a very short time, are changing their name. They announced at their sold-out show at the Troubadour on Tuesday night that they have adopted the moniker Run River North.
